About Our Lab Testing — Common Questions

Who tests Vital Peptique products?

Every product sold by Vital Peptique is independently tested by Vanguard Laboratory, a third-party analytical lab in Olympia, Washington that specializes in peptide and research-compound purity verification. Vanguard Laboratory is ISO 17025:2017 accredited (A2LA Certificate #6377.01.01) and is not affiliated with or owned by Vital Peptique — they are an independent testing service.

What methodology is used to verify purity?

Purity is verified using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC-UV/VIS). HPLC separates compounds in a sample and quantifies each peak, providing a percent-purity figure for the target compound and identifying any impurities or related substances. Each Certificate of Analysis includes the chromatogram and a numeric purity reading.

What purity standard does Vital Peptique target?

Vital Peptique targets ≥99% HPLC purity across the catalog. Specific batch results are documented in each product’s Certificate of Analysis. Where a batch falls below 99%, we either retest, reject, or disclose the result on the COA — we do not ship undisclosed batches.

How recent are the Certificates of Analysis?

COA documents are dated. Each is generated when a new batch is synthesized and tested. Vital Peptique only sells stock from batches that have a passing COA on file. Older batches are retested or retired when the COA ages beyond reasonable shelf-life expectations.

Can I download the Certificate of Analysis for the product I bought?

Yes — every COA is publicly available on this page. If you need a batch-specific COA that matches the lot number on your shipment, email info@vitalpeptique.com with your order number and we’ll send the exact match.

What information appears on a Vital Peptique COA?

A typical COA includes: product name, batch and lot number, HPLC purity percentage, the chromatogram trace, testing date, testing laboratory (Vanguard Laboratory), and signatures from the Laboratory Director and Operations Manager. Each is issued under ISO 17025:2017 accredited methods.

Are Vital Peptique products FDA-approved or safe for human use?

No. All products are sold for laboratory research use only. They are not FDA-approved drugs, not for human consumption, not for veterinary use, and not for any diagnostic application. Purchasers must be qualified researchers using the compounds in a controlled laboratory setting.

How does Vital Peptique compare to other research compound suppliers on quality assurance?

Vital Peptique publishes a current third-party HPLC Certificate of Analysis for every shipped product, issued by an ISO 17025:2017 accredited lab. Many research compound retailers either do not publish COAs publicly, do not use independent third-party labs, or do not provide batch-specific results. The combination of (a) an accredited independent lab, (b) per-batch testing, and (c) public publication of every COA is the differentiator.
